"Nothing compares to exploration of a mental vision in a limitless unreal world...." Caballero is a Cuban born architect presently residing in Virginia within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He began his artistic career during the early fifties at the Plastic Arts School in his native Camaguey, Cuba, a branch of the well known "San Alejandro" Art School, directed by Jorge Arche, one of the leading Cuban painters of the time. His work is a mixture of fantasy and realism which may be defined as the evolution of "Symbolism-Surrealism," where mysterious figures melt between dreams and reality. According to him it is most important to be able to express the full range of human emotions. ("Osmus" magazine publication, 1995, Issue No. 4) |
